Holsters: how many, of what types?

When I was buying holsters I bought a SERPA, Tagua beltslide, and CBST for my G19. Bought a SERPA, Remora, and CB snapslide for my XDsc9. Then had a Desantis Nemisis for my P3at. Then I started making holsters. So far I've made hybrid beltslides for the G19, Kahr CW9, Ruger Mk II, and P3at. Hybrid IWB for the G19. Two leather snap off scabbards for my G19. A pocket holster for my P3at. Getting ready to make a leather snap off pancake for the Kahr. And several mag holders. I believe that's the extent of the personal collection.

Then there are the boxes of blue guns and holsters in the garage. :yup:

So, ~15 or so ... plus the dozens upon dozens boxed up in the garage? :tongue:

I feel your pain. I really do. :embarassed:

Lost track of how many I have. I am looking for a new one to go with my new Kimber Ultra carry II. Right now I carry it in a holster made for a Glock 36. It works but it is just a bit loose of a fit as the Kimber is thinner than the Glock.

I'm pretty much in the 1 holster club. Have one high noon mr. softy. Have tried another one or two but always gone back to this one.

So far haven't minded not being in the "drawer full of holsters" club. Though I am tempted every once in a while, I've just been happy with what I have so far.

Well, I make holsters in leather and Kydex. That means I have piles of holsters. Most of mine are one of prototypes or screw ups. I hardly ever take the time to make something nice for myself. I dont have a picture of the pile, but is is large. I will share this one, because I really like it.

This is too funny. I've hooked a friend of mine into shooting just recently. I've been telling him about the symptoms that he can expect with this new addiction, including the dreaded holster drawer. He bought his first 357 last week, a Dan Wesson. This is not an easy holster fit off the shelve. So he bought a Coudura camo generic one size fits all just to get him started. He now has his first entry in his very own holster drawer. And the band played on.

I have new to CC - been about 3 weeks now, but I have 3 holsters already for my Nano. I have a belly band, a CB Super Tuck, and a Remora. I have been going through this daily dance of position, cant, and comfort. So far the Remora is winning in daily wear.

Next up is a PT-One to wear with sports gear. I also have some generic leather OWB holsters for my PX4 FS and my S&W snubby. I haven't used those yet.

I checked everything except hybrid, and only because I don't know, for certainty, the boundaries of what constitutes a hybrid.

No photos; I am not nearly computer-literate enough for that, or more precisely, not sufficiently internet-literate.

I figured Hybrid = mixed/layered, of different materials. Didn't want to limit it.

4 IWB All leather
1 OWB leather
1 pocket Material
1 shoulder holster Material.

I think that is all.

I have at least two and generally three for each weapon I carry. Always an IWB, some have locker holsters, some have shoulder holsters and some have OWB holsters. I prefer leather, but have a few hybrids.

The garage sweat shop. All those little clear boxes have a couple holsters each in them. Cutting table on the right. Power tools along the wall. And the tower of camping gear. :embarassed:

Haven't bought a new holster in awhile. I settled on Comp-Tac OWB as main carry holster, and occasionally Milt Sparks 55BN. Posted this before, but it's my solution for Holsters and Mag Holder storage (shoe storage holder hung on back of door).

sorry to admit this:
I have a cabinet full of them. I tried lots of combinations. Favorite warm temp carry, LC9 IWB, cold weather shoulder rig, 1911 or G-26/G19.
Don't have any that I really hate. Most of mine are good quality not the $12.00 discount junk. I like leather the best.
