With the archangel that i've now modified a bit by adding a couple of foam wedges to hold the entire grip area in against my body more, I do give up a little bit of ability to bend forward at the waist. I basically have to just let one leg come up off the ground to lean over and pick things up. I'm not the most flexible person walking the planet anyway, so to be honest, i've been doing such long before I started messing with appendix carry. The biggest difference for me with appendix carry is that I wear my pants a little bit lower to get things down below what remains of my gut. If I can keep my same weight loss rate going, this won't be an issue in another month. In general, appendix carry just seems to be pretty picky about getting everything adjusted to where you like it. A 1/2" adjustment can make a pretty significant different in concealment and comfort.

That may help you out if its digging when you sit.

    Questions

We have not heard of any problems with the combat grip, its the lower riding ones that some complain about because of the digging when you sit. But again that all depends on the barrel length. In any case if the low ride is working, the high ride will be fine.

    Cool

I carry a Glock 23 or Glock 36 in a High Noon Public Secret holster AIWB.

It gives me a "combat grip" allowing a full purchase on the grip of the firearm.

With as picky as appendix carry is (FOR ME) at finding the sweet spot for carrying with optimal concealment and comfort, I'd say that a person should go ahead and spend the coin for a top quality holster. Most of the kydex options are around $100, so a leather option for even money seems like a pretty good deal.

@Tmoore912 Thanks for the two links. Both were information. The first truly gives one pause to think about this location.
