I don't want to be a hero, but I'm sure not going to be a victim.

Holsters | Gun Holsters for Glock, Beretta, & Ruger | SERPA Holsters - BLACKHAWK!

Here is the link to their web site.

SERPA has a lock, the others don't - short answer.

    What?

No witty back and forth banter that leads to an in-depth discussion of retention levels...

Then further thread degradation into the open vs. concealed debate?

Am I on the right forum???

    OK...here it comes!

I have a Serpa for my Glock 23 and really like it for owb carry. I had read some negative things about it because of the supposed increased chance of a nd while using it but ultimately the reason for it seems to be user error after pouring through all the various posts and videos. Very happy with mine regardless.

Serpa holster = blow a hole in your leg (moment of silence for Tex Grebner)
Serpa holster = the worst "concealed carry" holster ever produced, it is anything BUT concealable
Serpa holster = Great waste of $45 you could have spent on ammo

The police are not there to protect you from crime, they are there to arrest the guy after the crime has been committed, assuming they find him. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family.

I have one for my 1911 that I use on occasion. I much prefer leather, but I have never had a problem with the SERPA. If you use it correctly and keep your finger straight, you shouldn't have a problem with it. It isn't the best for concealed carry, I will admit. But functionally, I think they are just fine. Just my .02.
