Holster for NOT carrying one in the chamber
Well, seek and ye shall find. OK, I wasn't actually seeking, but I did find this. The PERFECT solution for those who are uneasy about carrying with a round in the chamber. It is from Spain, but I bet you get the drift. Just click on some of the videos

That would put my DA/SA in SA with a very light trigger as I'm drawing...kinda scary.

I don't carry a gun to look for or start a fight. I carry one to finish a fight I never wanted to be in.

how so, slamfire? otherwise i can't see anything about it that is more dangerous than any other way of carrying as long as your finger is off the trigger. not that i see a point to it, just speaking of it impartially.

Not all people keep their finger off the trigger when drawing when they should be doing just that.

Seldeen Gunleather made a holster (circa late 70's - early 80's) that allowed the 1911 to be carried with an empty chamber. You had to use the standard guide plug and push down on the gun before drawing. A reinforced shelf held the slide and allowed the frame to move down to cock and chamber the gun.
I wish I still had mine simply for the novelty. I never carried the gun that way.
Sonny Puzikas also showed a holster for the Makarov that did the same on an episode of Deadliest Warrior, IIRC.

No doubt, that LEO is a 10. Can you draw the weapon without cocking it?

Re: Holster for NOT carrying one in the chamber
Hi, all my first post/time on the site.
I see nothing but problems with the holster, it may be good if it was your first time carrying and you learned doing it that way, but for me I would second guess it the whole time. I wouldn't like it in the gun safe that way or next to the bed. I would absolutely hate it.
If I need to ever draw my gun I want to KNOW that there is around in the chamber not having to depending on some plastic holster to put one in the chamber for me.
