I made a Kydex holster today.
Though www.leatherslinger.net made me a very fine pair of holsters I had to try it myself so I finally got my 1’ x 2’ piece of Kydex in today and made myself a holster for my G23 and a magazine. It turned out okay but have not worn it around yet. It does come out of the holster faster than leather but certainly nothing to look at compared to leatherslinger’s work.

Yeah where did ya egt your supplies?
I wouldn't make a holster, as i have pleny of them (see box), but i sure could see some uses for a strong, yet bendable and formable piece of plastic like that.

Solo, I converted a Bladetech crossdraw, IWB, to a strong-side appenxix, by making a J hook belt clip. You can get kydex, and related goodies from www.jantzsupply.com or www.knifekits.com
Easy to work with a heat-gun, though for a holster, you'd want to make, or buy, a foam-press outfit.
If I were making a holster, I'd get the .090", instead of the .060", kydex. Live n learn.....

I have ordered from knife kits .com before. they seem to take forever to deliver. I have been crafting a few holsters for my guns. Leather is nice, but a bit thick for me , atleast for summer carry.

Very nice. You can get the "hand boned " look by heating the side w/ gun in place and pressing hard with a foam covered board. i usually do 1 side at a time.
