What Holster for Appendix Carry?
Hey all, I am thinking of appendix carry as it would keep my gun from printing as much while doing different tasks. But I was wondering what holster to go with. Un Uncle Mike's basic IWB type will not work as it may shift loose during sitting. I am either looking at a CrossBreed type with a straight cant or a Comp-Tac 2 O'clock. What do you guys think? If you carry appendix what holster do you use?

I carry my F/S M&P 40 in a JM Custom Kydex AIWB. It is a great carry, sitting in the recliner, standing, bending and driving. It's no problem even under a tee shirt.

Never challenge an old man, because if you lose, you’ve lost to an old man, and if you win, so what?

I have a Dale Fricke Archangel, a Custom Carry Concept Shaggy, a Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 and a Dale Fricke Zacchaeus. I like them all for different reasons. I also ordered a C&D PIC but it's been a couple months and I haven't heard anything from them yet. What are you built like? What do you normally wear?

Both of those holsters are inferior designs compared to the well designed appendix holsters for service size weapons from CCC, JM Custom Kydex, Dark Star Gear, The Keeper, Dale Fricke, Alabama Holster Company, etc........
Use the search feature with Appendix and you will get pages of discussion on this mode of carry. Good luck.

Re: What Holster for Appendix Carry?
I love my comp-tac 2 o'clock and in had a cross breed appendix carry before that which was also great but the clip placement didn't work for me. I agree with the above poster that the single clip designs like these are only fully functional with subcompact or pocket sized guns, works great for my Beretta Nano.

Go with the JM Custom Kydex AIWB. IMHO it is the best design at a reasonable price currently available.

The Fricke Archangel is great I also use the Galco J hooks for many of my smaller guns.
"A first rate man with a third rate gun is far better than the other way around". The gun is a tool, you are the craftsman that makes it work. There are those who say "if I had to do it, I could" yet they never go out and train to do it. (WETSU)

What Holster for Appendix Carry?
Highnoon makes a few good choices for appendix carry. I started out with a "Mr. Softy"
And, JUST LITERALLY received my Cane & Derby PIC as I was typing this!!!
Can't wait to go try it on!

Wow - RonCo - when did you order it? Mine was around mid October...
I like a slight reverse cant - any forward cant will be bad. Straight is good.

What Holster for Appendix Carry?
I ordered it in late Oct. I had to call and email several times and eventually got a hold of their sales rep Ian.
He had it in the mail the same day I spoke with him. Mine is for a G19, so it doesn't get much more common than that... Not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
There's no cant to this holster. The quality and workmanship seem top-notch though!

I've tried the emailing thing - nothing. I just called....left a message. I don't think I'll ever get the holster - it's for a G21 - but at least I haven't been charged for it! (had to find their number on Facebook - wasn't anywhere on the website)
For the OP - the Shaggy is great. The Archangel is good. How you are built, how high you wear your pants, what you wear - all these things will play a big role in what holster is right for you.
