    My Belt from TheBeltMan.net

I got my belt in today. Took right at 2 weeks if I'm counting right.

I have to say this is a great belt. I think it will hold up to a lot of weight on it and last a long time.

I went with the Horse Hide 1.5" with velcro.

The only issue I have with it is that it is lighter than the example on the website. I wanted the natural horse hide b/c of the color on the website. I sent an e-mail and he called and left me a message right away. I'll have to call him back tomorrow. I'm thinking I can maybe darken it up a bit with some polish or something.

I will definitly be ordering another belt or two soon.

Well...he makes some of the better belts out there. Im sure youll love it.

One of the problems we all have is matching the pictures on our website with actual tones/hues/colors that you get on your leather. Each time we dye...it can change. Sometimes a little and sometimes alot! Black is the truest and most consistant color out there....dark browns can change a little and the lighter you go...the more it can happen. Some makers, including me, typically stay with the darker colors out there for that reason.

Natural HorseHide is kinda this brownish/greenish color with a pink cast to it. So if he dyed it a tad for you .....who knows, you may actually like it better than natural".

    Shoot well and god bless

Just got my belt from the Beltman yesterday. I LOVE IT!

I even got lucky! He upgraded me to horsehide for free because he "had it in stock"!! What a guy!!

Don't expect that to happen again..

I'll be ordering a black one shortly.

I ordered a couple of belts (bullhide, 1.25" with plastic insert) a month or so ago. One black, one tan. The tan was close enough to the web site photo that I couldn't tell a difference.

When I opened the box and pulled them out, it was immediately clear that this was a *quality* product. Such a huge, huge difference from any storebought mass-produced belt. The buckles are even put on with screws so you can change out the buckle if you want. Plus the size and "BeltMan.net" are stamped into the inside of the belt, so it can't wear off.

If I ever need another belt, I buy from him again.

I don't have a digicam around right now, but if you go to www.thebeltman.net and look at the horsehide belt it is just like mine but mine is lighter in color.

What problems did you have with Rafter S? I have one and it is an excellent belt.

Has anyone else had problems with a Beltman belt's edging coming off? Mine's a few days old, and the buckle seems to be scraping off the finish where the belt passes through.

Do you mean the black coloring?

Mine came with a little spot on the tip of the belt where it wasn't black, I touched it up with a fine point sharpie. Time will tell if the rest of the coating comes off or not.
