I am looking to purchase or have made a left handed Open top holster for a ruger SR40. Any Ideas? I haven't had any luck with an internet search. I have also sent in a couple of requests to Holster Manufacturers but havent heard back as of yet. This will Be a gift to my dad for his Birthday. I have 6 months untill his birthday, Has anyone else had the Left Handed Holster diemma?

Most all holster makers make holster for lefties. I'm left handed and carry my 4" 1911 in an IWB made by TT Gunleather. I also have lefthanded holsters made by John O'Rourke and KC's Custom Leather.
You can google TT Gunleather. John O'Rourke's website has been down due to some health issues and KC's Custom Leather doesn't have a website, but look at the mega-holster link here on DC and
check out some of the websites listed. Most if not all will make you a lefthanded holster.

Huntinfooltwo - look at the holsters forum, you will find countless holster makers listed there, and any of them can and will make a left-handed holster if that is what you want. There is no list of holster makers that only make leather holsters, but you can go to the various websites and find those that do.
Left-handed holsters are only hard to find in the retail stores.
