    Belt-Akers or Rafters?

Am looking at either the Akers or Rafters in 1 1/2 inch belt. The Akers has a plastic liner between two layers of leather;the Rafters is two layers of leather only.Does the plastic liner help or make the belt too stiff to be comfortable?

If it's plastic you're interested in, get the ultimate, the Liger Belt! I bought one and liked it so much I bought another color, they are great for carry. They look great as well, with the attractive buckle. http://www.1sks.com/store/maxpeditio...-gun-belt.html

I have a shark skin RafterS belt which, while gorgeous,
is a little soft for my tastes.

Got a good ol' cowhide Rafter S gunbelt. Very happy with it and carries the weight of my .45 well.

    Akers

I posted earlier on my Akers belt. It's great so far (only a few months old). It's stiff. but very comfortable and with a High Noon holster holds my XD45 high and tight.
