    Recent Exotics

Shameless plug of my work to follow:

It's been awhile since I've posted anything I've made. Not that I haven't been busy. Quite to the contrary; been too busy to sit down and do a lengthy post. Anyway, it seems like recently the vast majority of my work has been exotics, so here are a few:

    A full-coverage shark-skin P229 rig:

P229 Enforcer holster with elephant mouthband:

A Commander Enforcer in black stingray with alligator mouthband:

The rear of the above stingray holster, in black shark because no-one wants stingray against their skin.

Burgandy/wine colored full-coverage stingray with matching grips:

The rear of the above holster, in sanded-smooth stingray. This unique variation of smooth hide was discovered after the black one was made with shark on the rear:

Full-coverage elephant In-Cognito IWB with hornback alligator mouthband. I had bunches of hornback alligator top-knots laying around and finally figured out what to use them for:

Two of the more rare exotics - black shell cordovan with pangolin (African anteater) mouthband, with HK P7 PSP:

    Thanks for looking!

Gorgeous! Wow, I'm nearly speachless. That hornback alligator and pangolin are something else. I notice the coloring is very even, and the exotic leathers are all very even (I assume you have to shave them down to a uniform thickness).

Looks like first-rate work! Thanks for sharing.

That is amazing work, I hope to be able to pull off exotics like that eventually.

    Ranger Gunleather

If light rails were needed on handguns John Browning would have included it on the 1911.

    They are stunning.

That African anteater is an amazingly beautiful leather.

    Thumbs up Mark

I really love the way you lay your cuts out on your exotics to make their individual patterns just look perfect on the holsters.

Mark, those are some beautiful pieces of work. You and Eric have been teasing us with the beauty of yall's work in the exotic. I appreciate you and all the other makers taking the time to come here and put up with me.

I really like the way the leather comes up behind the gun in the first photo. It gives you something between you and the gun.

    Mark,
Your ability to do exotics is absolutely amazing. This is from another maker who on more than one occasion has thrown stingray across my shop...even breaking a window in the process. Those who have tried it...understand!
    Very very very nice stuff..........
Shoot well and god bless..........keep it up.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice..........Rush
