I wear my IWB at 3:30ish while driving, no discomfort, but certainly not an easy draw. I would like to set up a rig in the car, but I wouldn't feel safe with the kids in vehicle.
Guitarz and guns is the new McGuyver. That is one cool set up " KIDS,WHERE ARE MY TOOLS!!!!!!!!"
The NRA Store has a relatively cheap belt slide holster (~$30) and a more expensive (~70) rig to attach a holster to the steering column.
Works for me!
I also have a $15 nylon holster shoved into the space between my driver seat and the center console. Actually, that one works better. Wish I had bought it first!
Either a good Cross Draw Or the "SAFEPACKER " holster great while driving etc. Dillon's Blue Press catalog carries the Safepacker holsters @ $89.00 it's a great deal. I love mine in or out of the car.
I don't worry as much as a previous poster about internal injuries in the event of an accident. I carry my M&P AIWB very comfortably and have easy access while driving.
