Range/OWB Holster for Full size 1911

Any Suggestions for a nice holster suitable for both?
I have been away from shooting for a long time, plan to buy the pistol I always wanted soon.
    Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Mike

Small shop out of Jacksonville Florida. Their kydex OWB is sick. Easy on, easy off. Incredibly tight against the body, even with a flimsy belt like mine.

    Here's a few pics with my HK45c.

Thanks for the pics, yes super tight, and really inexpensive too. I may give them a call.

How about something like this? Stays tight to the body. Here it is with my Les Baer. Defensive Concealment

For the range I like my Serpa Lvl2. For a regular OWB for OC or even CC when that works I like pancake style holsters, tight to the body and not hideous to look at.

I've used a lot of holsters over the years, and settled on the DeSantis Speed Scabbard for all of my pistols, including my 1911's. Worth a look.

I use the Milt Sparks 55BN for range work and winter carry. My 1911's love to be wrapped in leather.

One of my all time favorite style of holster. Based off the Bruce Nelson Professional.

I also love the Brigade Gun Leather Aspis snap holster

My first holster was a Blackhawk SERPA. I still use it occasionally on the range, but my favorite OWB holster that I use most of the time if carrying OWB is the Galco Avenger. Good leather, classic style, adjustable retention screw. Just more "class" than kydex, in my humble opinion.

One of my favorite holsters for range/concealed carry is the Wilson Combat Practical model. It fits on a 1.75 inch belt, is low profile, screw-tension adjustable and is a straight-drop (zero degree cant) which I prefer. The only down-side of it is that when used for concealed carry, a longer cover garment must be used. Other than that, it's ideal and is also a very fast, smooth draw. Here it is with my Colt Mk IV, Series 70 .45 ACP (on the top):

Take a look at UBG holsters.

    UBG Holsters

I use his Regulator. Is very concealable for me. Even with a full size 1911.
