    Oldfaithful U-Mold It Questions

Has anybody here ever used it? Thoughts? Reviews? I'm interested in giving it a shot but I'm not a fan of wasting money. Also, is any extra tools/etc. needed for molding the kydex or does it come with everything needed?

If it helps at all, I'll be getting it to give it a go on a Glock 31

Honestly if your not going to make multiple holsters pay the extra $10 and buy the kit where they've already molded it and you just assemble.

    Is:

Finding something you can use as a Kydex Press
Heating up the Kydex just right
Pressing it into the gun in a way that it DOES mold right
Cutting the extra, trimming and sanding edges
Drilling holes in the kydex and leather perfectly where you need them

All worth $10???? You'll loose more than that on stuff you need to do it yourself.

I got one to try the kydex/leather hybrid holster style. If you have worked with kydex before it is simple enough to do. The you tube videos seem pretty in depth and I imagine most people can make their own holsters without much trouble from the kit. If you have basic hand tools and some patience it isn't hard.
I you don't like DIY projects , just buy the completed holster.

Thanks for the responses. I enjoy DIY projects, they relax me. I happened to see a video demonstration after I posted this, looks simple enough and this will be my first time working with kydex. Once it arrives and I complete it, I'll update this with a picture of how it turned out in case anybody else was interested in giving this a shot.
