Springfield XD-45 and Blackhawk

Hey guys. Gotta a question for ya! Everybody is familiar with the Blackhawk CQC carbon fiber series of holsters and accessories right? My question is: Does the holster made for the XD 9 & 40 also fit the XD 45? Does the XD 45 magazine fit in the CQC mag pouch? And while we're on the subject of the XD 45...is the finish on them any better than the finish on the XD 9 & 40? I had an XD 40 and couldn't keep the rust off of it. I've carried in CQC stuff for the last 2 years - CQC Serpa holster for Glock 22 on the right and a magazine/SureFire flashlight combo on the left, so I really hate to change my gear. Your thoughts please!

I can't comment on whether a CQC holster for the .40 will fit the .45, but I have an XD-45ACP that I carry everyday for work in a Safariland 6280 that is for the .40 and it fits fine.

In addition, I've carried it everyday for over 7 months and there has been no rust. This was even during the monsoon season. HTH.

Perhaps a email or call to Blackhawk is needed. Unless one of our gun shop employee/ posters sees this.

My XD-45 fits in the Serpa holster just fine, but the magazines are too wide for the mag holder.

The XD45 was the first of the XD line not to have the rust and scratch prone parkerizing finish. I believe its called Melonite and they have started to put it on the other XDs.

I have an XD-40sc and it will fit holsters for the XD-9 but I have read that the XD-45 is wider so make sure you try before you buy.

The .45ACP XD will definitely fit in the Blackhawk carbon fiber holster. In fact, it will fit in any of several I have that were purchased for the 9 or 40.
