Remora Review - 2ART-SS Tuckable for Ruger LCP

The Remora has landed. I'll throw in a DeSantis Nemesis for comparison and contrast.

First off the Remora is noticeably stickier that the Nemesis and holds the gun tighter. The Nemesis puts virtually no retention pressure by itself on the gun.

Some comparison pics with the LCP.

The Nemesis allows for a full grip, the 2ART-SS does not.

    Footprint

The 2ART-SS has a larger footprint that the Nemesis.

I debated on the sweat shield or not with the Remora. It really is not necessary for the LCP and seems to add undesirable bulk and interferes with initial draw grip. I'll be exchanging the holster for one without a sweat shield. I'm really not to keen on the closed bottom design of the Remoras since invariably it will end up like the corners in your bathroom or hay barn. I'll update this thread when the new holster arrives.

As for the LCP, it a new model with updated and improved sights and trigger. I'd put the trigger right up there in Kahr territory. Yes siree, the new LCP is a real nose picker.

Thanks for the review. Let us know how you like it after getting the one without sweat shield.

The Nemesis is strictly a pocket holster and should NOT hold the gun tightly or else it will come out with the gun so you are comparing apples to oranges here. Do not understand the comparison of a sticky inside the belt holster to a pocket holster.
