New HBE Speciality Leatherworks Holsters
Yesterday was a good day, as I received in the mail two samples of Eric Larsen's fantastic leather goods; a DC Special IWB holster made for the Makarov and a right-hand pocket holster made for (S&W) J-Frame-sized guns:
Coincidentally enough, I purchased my Bulgarian-made (Century Arms, Inc.-imported) Makarov seen here only last week. The pocket holster is cradling my Taurus 905CH 9mm revolver which is a perfect fit (except for a minute gap in the barrel area as this holster is, I assume, meant for 2" barreled J-Frames; the Taurus' barrel is slightly shorter).
Well, I looped a Ted Blocker 1 1/2" belt and wore the holster around the house....it's extremely comfortable and hides the small Mak under a t-shirt.
I do have one critique: the leather comes up around the trigger guard and sweat shield areas just enough that I can't get a complete grip on the gun. My hand is secure around the gun at the start of the draw stroke, but not completely high enough....for me at least and I have small hands.
Still, this is fantastic leather Eric! I compliment you yet again on a job well done!
