    Question on Miami Classic

I'm still waiting for my CCW to arrive but I've been researching options for holsters. Since I'm a CPA I often wear suits and sport coats so I've been looking at the Miami Classic as a possibility.

My question is this: With the thumb break on the horizontal carry, does the snap give way as you pull the pistol out, or do you have to release the thumb snap and then draw the pistol as two separate motions?

I realize this may seem like a no-brainer to those of you who have used this holster, but I've only seen them on the Internet. Any information given is greatly appreciated.

IntrepidDad - I can't answer your question concerning the thumb break, but I can say Welcome to the forum.

    Thumb break

You will have to train yourself to release the thumb snap as you are getting a grip on the pistol and do it in one smooth motion.

It takes a little practice to get it smooth and instinctive, but from having done it with duty holsters it comes fairly quickly.

Commit the motion to muscle memory, stand in front of the mirror and practice, practice, practice.

From what I have read about the Miami classic you should be happy with it.

If light rails were needed on handguns John Browning would have included it on the 1911.

    Thanks

40FIVER - Thanks for the welcome. It's good to be here.

Greg - Thanks for the info on the thumb break. I will most likely go with this holster and practice as you recommend.
