Yes for several different weapons and for years myself. They work very well for me also. Comfortable, hide well, and easy to put on and take off.
I carry my Sig P-229 in the "variant" of the Miami Classic" that Galco calls the SS-II. Just wider shoulder straps for comfort.
Like it alot. Good carry for those long driving trips.

I too am glad to hear that you all like this holster. I have the Classic Lite that I carry my 239 and will be getting the SSII for my Sig Pro.

I use one for my 1911 works great for fall and winter carry.
Is the Miami Classic a thumb break holster only? I would like a holster without a thumb break. Does anyone know of one are there any drawbacks?

Ya I see major drawbacks about no thumb break. Gun falling out being the main one. I had an issue once with a major makers holster (much like the Galco Miami Classic) that the thumb break wouldnt stay snaped and once on a protective detail the weapon slipped out of the holster. The Galco is an awsome holster, and is easy to draw from when in a sitting position, unlike alot of the OTB holsters. I think the best thing Galco has done is switching the mag pouches to open with mags horizontal.

I agree. I would not carry in a shoulder holster without a positive retention device. The risk is just too high.

I don't like thumb breaks...I prefer a pull thru method...they are faster and less bulky....of course, with a 1911, you might feel better with something over the firing pin...

That is an awsome carry rig for a revolver, would scare the stuffing out of me with a Glock though.

I recently bought a Galco Miami Classic for a 3.5" Para OPS .45 and am quite pleased with it. Like some others, I am not a fan of thumb snaps on holster; but it is essential using the Galco rig with the holster in a horizontal configuration. The Miami Classic is "modular"; so one could get a vertical holster component with no snap if that is preferable.
I like the way the MC spreads the weight out across my back and feels very comfortable. The downside...if I go into a place where it is warm, it is hard to shed a jacket wearing a shoulder holster rig. I have a bison-hide vest with lined inner-pockets which allows removal in such a place.
I got a Galco Miami Classic about 2 weeks ago. I'm still adjusting it to get that "just right" feel.
I use it with both a 4" and 5" 1911. I think it'll be a great holster for jacket wear.

No thumb break...comfortable shoulder rig...bought it for my Kimber Ultra CDP II. I've had it for a while, but have only started wearing it as the cooler weather has come...Central Florida...
I really do like the way it feels. Nothing tucked into the waist, and with a light jacket...it disappears! It's perfect for Harley riding, which is why I bought it. But I have been wearing it lately...colder weather...and I like the feel. Easy to access with one hand...does not need to be anchored to the belt...very stable...mag on other side, but can be worn without the extra mag pouch (but why go without the extra mag?)
Enjoy your choices...
