Plastic holster haters need not reply
Has anyone tried the Fobus IWB? I have heard mixed review of their products but that design looks interesting. I like the speed and simplicity of Kydex holster and prefer IWB for my CCW. I just bought a GLOCK 19 and I am in the market for a good rig for it. (Other holsters that I am considering are the Comp-Tac Pro Undercover and FIN Designs IWB) Thanks

I think either Comp-Tac or Blade-Tech makes a more durable product than Fobus.
I could be wrong.

Look Under 'Related Links'...
See Holsters & Carry Options...then hit on Fist.
Fist makes some great Kydex holsters...I have a 1/2 dozen, or so, and they work very well.
I do find that the Kydex IWB's are not as comfortable as leather...OMO...

I love kydex!
I haven't tried Fobus; I do have experience with (and recommend) Comp-Tac's C-Tac IWB and also their Set-Cant OWB.
Just for a change of pace, I have ordered a High Noon OWB to see how leather works.

I also recommend Comp Tac...I have a number of their holsters and a mag pouch. Excellent stuff. Blade Tech is great too; I have one their holsters. I have two G Code holsters and a couple of mag pouches. Nice stuff, but a tad too tight. With both my holsters, I had to back the tension screw so much to allow for holster and/or reholstering of my guns that the screw just rattles around.

I dont hate Fobus, but I wont use one routinely anymore. I use to carry one alot but not anymore. The ITP version appears bulky but I havent tried it. The old saying is you get what you paid for.

Well I have to say that I do hate fobus. Their holsters never fit the advertised products. I own the Fobus SG-21 and it is supposed to fit all the sigs and even the railed ones and it fits none of them. Maybe if I melt the plastic and jam a pistol in, then it may fit. I also own a Fobus for the J-frame but my J frame doesnt fit it. Fobus is JUNK. Fobus is just injected plastic and not Kydex. There is a big difference.
I agree with everyone else, just buy Comptac or Blade tech. Both are awesome holster makers.

Fobus makes good stuff, just not IWB holsters.
Heres a link to a previous thread on it and my experience when I owned one: http://www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin...ight=fobus+iwb

fobus works for range work. I read the IWB model doesn't stay during the draw. I have built a few kydex rigs so far. I like em better than leather.

Well, I bought a Fobus Kydex OWB holster for a Sigma VE40 and do hate it. On my belt, it protrudes at least three inches off my hip. It's virtually impossible to conceal except under an overcoat and we don't wear them much down here in Central Fla. On top of that, it's hard, unyielding, and just flat out uncomfortable to wear. I don't much like IWB holsters either. I've had much better luck with pancake style ballistic nylon and leather holsters. They fit close and are pretty much invisible beneath a jacket or loose fitting shirt.

I think that that about closes it for me. Thanks for your comments. I will keep looking.

I have the Blackhawk Sepa holster, a very nice rig, although I don't carry and some people feel it sticks out to much.
