I've seen a video of a kid carrying an 870 "IWB" - so sure, anything is possible. Is that holster out there on a store shelf somewhere? Unlikely.

I would call Rob at Simply Rugged holsters and ask what the possibilities are.

Sure. With absolute concealment, though, is another matter. As with any other sidearm, it'll depend on your body shape, clothing, etc.

It's a good-sized gun. I've considered the Ruger Redhawk KRH-444 .44mag, but I've also considered that I wouldn't have a prayer of effectively concealing it IWB. For me, this 4.2" bbl Redhawk would be strictly for OWB out in the field/range/ranch while hiking or camping. Only with a suitable covering garment (ie, longer and heavier wool/leather jacket that drapes cleanly over the bulges) would I ever imagine it'd conceal "properly."

Ive seen a few of them carried. Mostly in a shoulder rig or a high ride OWB. It would be no harder to carry than a S&W model 10 with a 4" barrel. That was the standard of police work for more than 60 years. Just because there are better suited guns out there, dont discount the guns you already have! With the right cover shirt it could be done. Its going to print some what, but as long as you dont have to be within elbow range its doable. DR

I made an IWB/OWB rig for a 686 with 4" barrel. The guy absolutely loves it. It was a huge slab of cow!

So possible? Yes. But you'll need to find someone with the ability and the gun to do it. That might be the hard part.

Mernickle Holsters makes a concealment holster for single action revolvers.
    Might check with him.
