    Magazine holsters

    Alright ladies and gents,

tonight was my first night at our local pistol league.

While I had a great time and learned a few things, I quickly figured out that I needed another mag holder.

My current mag holder is a blackhawk, but I've heard that they're not American made anymore.

Can anyone give me some recommendations on some others that are decent?

I'm looking for single stack, doesn't matter if it's kydex or leather.

    Thanks in advance

Fobus makes a great single stack, double mag paddle holster for about $20

I use both the single and double stack versions, myself.

These are by far, the most comfortable mag pouches I've ever used...I hardly know I'm wearing it.

I’m old school and also prefer to support local manufactures so here are the ones I prefer.

X Concealment makes a really good one. I have one for my Glock mags.

Email Jeff Hays and let him know exactly what you want. He'll build you a quality mag carrier at a reasonable price. Jeff has made several items for me, (including two mag carriers) and all have been top notch.

I can't offer much on horizontals. I like them but I just can't use them due to having a fairly small waist.. they just take up too much space on my belt, and typically make a big flat spot right on my hip bone.

All of my magazine carriers are either D.M. Bullard or Ted Blocker models.

Sawyer Concealment out of Jackson, Mich makes nice stuff. I'm wearing both holster and mag carrier now, very comfortable and the gun is a M&P 9 with a light in an IWB rig.

I usually use Comp-Tac mag pouches. Never a problem and they're adjustable. The Fobus paddle double-holsters hold up well too, that's what I use for my 1911 for IDPA. And they're cheap.
