Anyone change their carry in the winter?
Going around town here in Montana this week and years past I've noticed my 27 in a Crossbreed gets buried by a hoodie and jacket.
Anyone go to a bigger gun and OWB?
I've been using my Glock 23C in my Galco OWB more. Seems to work a lot better. Conceals pretty well under a hoodie as well.

yeah due to colder weather my j frame currently has 3-finger "combat" grips on it rather than 2-finger bantams and is more likely to be found in either of my owb pancake holsters than during warmer months. I still switch it up almost daily though.

Nope. Either a Glock 27 or a S&W 442 all the year long.

I carry OWB in the winter, my full size P220
I don't change the gun, but I did recently pick up an OWB to try out this winter. I actually wore it out and about tonight and with a sweatshirt and jacket over, obviously no one could tell. I won't say I will strictly OWB this winter, but it will def. get used!
Nope. Just a coat and boots. The 1911 and j frame don't change much.
They do get oiled a bit more.
Same ol 1911, When super cold a hat or earmuffs.
I go more OWB depending on my coat. I've got a lighter winter jacket that is loose enough for a good draw, but when it gets really cold my heavier jacket will not allow a good draw unless it's unzipped, so then I carry my LCR in an outside vertical zippered chest pocket (in a holster of course). It's perfect. I unzip the pocket when I go through parking lots for better access and zip it back up when in the store.
My only difference is, my open carry G19 is covered with a jacket in cold weather.

Winter carry? I almost always go to a shoulder holster - to me, it is much easier to access the pistol in a shoulder holster when you are wearing heavy coats and jackets.
I don't change my carry weapon during the winter (even if I'm where there actually is a winter) but I do carry OWB a bit more than IWB during it.

I may OWB occasionally, but, to be honest I've gotten so used to IWB that I'll probably just keep it up. The only thing that changes is that I go from pocket carrying my LCR occasionally to all the time. That big gun on the belt is way slower than that little one in the pocket.

Same gun but it moves from pants pocket to coat pocket. DR
