    ALPHA HIDEbriD Shadow.

I've made a few of these for my local buddies, and after it gained a little interest I made a few more for their friends. I recently ordered and received my Glock Combat Holster and I've been using it with the Shadow. The Shadow is a OWB to IWB Holster Converter. It's made of Kydex and comes with the back panel covered with a soft synthetic felt fabric, which aids in extended carry comfort. It's design is ambidextrous and will pretty much convert any OWB slotted/looped holster manufactured for any handgun, to IWB concealed carry. It can be installed/removed from the host holster in about 5 seconds and is adjustable for height and cant.

The cool thing is that one (1) ALPHA HIDEbriD Shadow will probably convert most of the OWB holsters that you own to IWB carry, regardless of the type of handgun and caliber for which the host holster is made for.

Anyway, let me know what you think. All opinions and commentary will be appreciated.

FYI, I'm currently working on another ALPHA HIDEbriD design which I've named Ghost. Ghost will have a diminutive body panel and will feature Transparent Belt Clips. Photos of Ghost will be made public in the near future.

I'll probably make a few at a time and sell them on the Member's Buy/Sell Forum. I work 2 jobs so I'll only be able to make them in my spare time. What's your EDC and which holster do you use? Thanks.

I carry everything from a Sig P220 to a BoBerg XR9L.. I use a number of holsters. Most are IWB, but I have a lot of OWB that I would like use IWB. Thanks for getting back to me. I am in White Lake, MI.. sjsomega@gmail.com Stephen

    ALPHA HIDEbriD Shadow.

I saw this on the Glock thread too. Brilliant idea! Especially if a person likes they're OWB holster a lot and don't want to buy a IWB. I like it.

Thanks. Plus it's somewhat of a Universal Fit design so it can be changed out and used with multiple OWB holsters.

Cool idea. Do you have any pictures that show how it attaches to the holster?

It looks like it is threaded through the OWB belt loops. How are the clips then attached?

The Shadow has dual attaching points which are located at each end of the Body. The attachment points insert from behind and into the host holster's belt slots. The points are formed at an angle to create a nice curvature towards the users body. The curvature on the Shadow's kydex body creates a spring-like tension which helps pull the holster's slots inward. All this occurs before the Belt is even cinched.

I'll post a video a little later which demonstrates how easy and quick the actual install is. Here's a photo of the Shadow that shows the detail from the front side. FYI, I took the belt clips off the attaching points and placed them in the center of the body.:

The Belt Clips are attached via heavy duty hook and loop tape and have a generous amount of Cant and Height adjustment.
