Lightbulb Recommend me a revolver pocket holster!

I originally bought a Desantis Superfly pocket holster for my LCR. However, I found that the anti-print panel really interfered with the draw - much more so than on my semi autos. Seems the natural "notch" in the backstrap of a semi auto allows you to get your fingers behind the anti-print panel easily, while the curved backstrap of the revolver does not. So, I end up using the holster without the anti-print panel (which is only attached with velcro), like a Nemesis.

Problem is that I have large thighs, and in certain situations, the revolver prints in my pocket rather obviously (to me, anyway). While I have not had anyone notice (as far as I know) I would rather have something that does a better job of breaking up the outline of the revolver in my pocket.

Frankly, I'm not sure that a rigid anti-print panel would work (like on a Guru pocket holster), as the thickness of the revolver around the cylinder would make the whole rig rather bulky.

So, I'm thinking that a more rigid pocket holster (maybe like a Mika?) would "poof out" the pocket enough to keep the grip from printing...?

    Advice and personal feedback appreciated...thanks!

I'd probably take a look at something from PCS:

I'm fond of my Pocket Packer by Wild Bill's - the detachable flap (with the Premium model) nicely breaks up the outline of the gun, making it look like a wallet in your pocket. Around $50.

Another Mika fan. I have a few of his holsters and they work great.

For those with the Mika - does it "poof out" the pocket so much that someone behind you (assuming a tucked-in shirt) could see the revolver in your pocket?

    Thanks.

I really like my rkbaholsters.com for my LCP and LCR.

I still use a cheap Uncle Mikes holster that I bought 4 years ago.

I looked long and hard for a good pocket holster and finally landed upon the High Noon pocket grabbers. Nice and stiff with a good rubber outer backing that clings to the pocket. Pocket Grabber

+1 for the uncle mikes (blackhawk! Also works fine for me).
They think they don't need firearms because they never have needed them.

I use Mikas. One round bottom and one square depending on the pocket shape. I don't use any "flap" to break up the outline. A revolver is rounded enough that you shouldn't need one. A gun in a pocket prints on a self conscious person more than the rest of us.

Had a Superfly. For about a day. Too bulky for what it holstered.

    Mika is good.

I have found my DeSantis Nemesis to do a good job breaking up the outline of my 638, also not too bulky. Also have heard good things about the Galco pocket holster.
