Problem with Bianchi Model 58 PI from Holsters.com

Question for y'all who have Bianchi holsters. I love this holster. The cant and retention are great. But, when they say 1.5" belt loops, they mean 1.5". I have to force the belt through the loops. Positioning it once it's on my belt so it doesn't print is a major PITA. It's so tight I'm using my cheap 5.11 belt with this holster instead of my good Beltman one to keep from fraying the edges of my belt.

Is this normal? Will the holster loops loosen up or is something wrong and it needs to be returned?

It's leather, it will loosen up.
