Do you normally carry within the vest (in an integral holster) or do you carry on the belt (IWB or OWB?) or shoulder? I'm not a vest expert, but that info may help those who are to advise you best.![]()
It's not a vest, but one of my favorite cover garments for fall/winter/early spring here in Tennessee is one of those fleece pullovers that zip at the neck. They are generally loose-fitting and conceal IWB or OWB fairly well. Such a garment may not fit well with your wardrobe, however. Good luck, and stay safe!
Gary - I make good use of a Smith & Alexander vest during all the warmer/hotter months - including on bike too.
I choose the denim version and it hangs nice and low, very lightweight and has two low pockets, one top breast pocket and a small inner. I carry large (226) OWB and this gives me very good cover with barely any printing problems at all.

For a good variety of vests for all seasons, check out Cabela's website. Simply do a search for "mens vests" and you'll get a large selection:

Here is something that might not come up when thinking of firarm concealment.

I have an older on and it works great, with loads of pockets to hold other items.

1+ on the 5.11 photographer vest. Also I found a good Eddie Bauer vest at a Goodwill store that works wonderful even when you wear it inside out (as seen in the below pic from a IDPA match).
