    New Max-Con VI with pics.

I've been using Brommeland holsters for the last 15 years. I carry all day every day.

Gary was kind enough to let me get my mitts on his new design and I am hugely impressed. I've been using it daily for the last 3 weeks.

The design allows for one handed reholstering. I've avoided this for IWB holsters in the past because a steel mouthband is usually requires adding bulk and reduces comfort.

This model has an extra piece of leather that serves to keep the holster from collapsing, and it works. (see pics)

Where this holster really shines though is in comfort, ease of draw, and concealment. My subjective opinion is that the reinforcement band somehow contributes to spreading out the weight and profile of the gun over a larger surface area. On a 1.5 inch 3 stitch wilderness belt and a 1.25 inch Brommeland gunbelt, this holster is as comfortable as a belt slide. I kid you not.

Gary, you raised the bar on yourself with this one.

(I'll try to post better pics later, I am definitely not a photographer, as you can see.)

    Very nice!

How old will I be when I can get one if I place my order today at 37?

Thanks, guys! For anyone who is interested, the Max-Con VI is available in Service Grade (Glocks, Kahrs, XD's, Hi Powers and 1911's and Sig 239) for $99.95.

Presentation Grade -Shown (available for all of the above, plus HK USP's, P-2000's, and Sigs) for $134.95.

(Service Grade Holsters will be available for all of the above guns shortly.) Thanks!

    When's your birthday?

All kidding aside, we're looking at about 16-20 weeks on Presentation Grade models, and about 12-16 weeks on Service Grades (These numbers are for Max-Con VI's only - other stuff is slightly less.) Thanks!

Guys I ordered one today........................ I have tried the MaxCon V and was very impressed to say the least so I am very excited to see the MaxCon VI in a few months.

I did this backwards. I ordered the holster before I purchased the pistol to go in it..............................

How aside from the steel mouthband does the MC5 differ from the MC6?

    Gee that's purdy!

How well does that tab on the bottom help pull the grip in to the body?

Besides the mouthband, the two holsters are identical. BTW, the reinforcement is not steel. It is a specially prepared type of leather that molds up really stiff. The reason for that is that if you happen to crush a steel lined holster (when the gun is drawn), it is just about impossible to use the holster without stopping what you are doing and bending it all back into shape. With this material, it will flex somewhat without crimping, so if it is crushed you can just pull it open with the thumb of your shooting hand and go.
For those who still prefer steel, I'll put a plate in one for you for another $10. Thanks!

Thanks, Thumper. In answer to your question, that tail flange does not do a lot to pull it into the body. It's job is to stabilize the muzzle and prevent it from poking you.

However, This holster pulls in VERY tightly against the body (as does the Max-Con V ) - it will move with you during physical activity - it sorta feels like a hand is firmly pressing the firearm against the body, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Thanks again.

I'll be sending in my order tomorrow. It looks like a nice home for my Glock, when I'm not using my OWB KD holster.

    Thanks Gary,

I'm working on getting a Glock 30 for my next carry gun and I've always been a died in the wool VersaMax-II kinda guy but I think I may just have to give this holster a try!

As soon as I get these medical bills taken care of I'll have to make a tough decision for that G19 ... MaxCon V or VI to go with the Def-Con???

Nice work Gary, I assume you prefer the leather stiffner to a steel band then?

If you only knew how jealous of you I am right now. I hope to have mine in several weeks. But huh I went ahead and ordered a left hand service grade to go with the right hand presentation grade. Hope it is as "comfy" as it looks. Enjoy it and wear it well.

You're killing me, Gary! The service grade Max Con V I ordered hasn't arrived yet and you already have the upgrade! :)
