    My new Ankle Holster

I just got my Galco Ankle Glove with calf band in the mail.

I have been wearing it around getting used to it, and I have to say, it's pretty darned comfortable. At first, I had the thing wrapped too tightly, and it cut off the blood flow to my foot, but after a few readjustments, I think I've found the sweet spot.

I'm looking forward to a lot of successful, comfortable ankle carry. (despite the drawbacks, ankle carry is the most plausible way for me to carry most of the time)

From all I have read - Galco ankle does seem to be the overall fave for comfort. Never tried one as yet.

You didn't mention what is going in it - I am assuming something fairly small. I won't go bigger than my R9 in an ankle rig.

Are you carrying the Glock 27? And if so, does it print?

    Sorry bout that.

Yes, I'm carrying the Glock 27 with this Galco holster.

As for printing... Yes, it prints on about 30% of my pants. (Yes, I've already tried on just about every pair of pants I own over this holster). The best ones it seems are jeans... or if it's slacks, the ones that are mostly nylon are best... cotton-esque pants are more apt to print, IMO.

I use the Fobus ankle holster to carry my G27 and it works great. Does not print either. No one ever knows.

My wife tried the Desantis ankle rig the other day and it printed bad with a Glock 26, but womens clothing are much tighter fitting.

I may have been genetically engineered for ankle carry... I have really thin ankles and really thick calves. It hides everything nicely.

I use the Galco with a G27 as well. Only one person has every noticed it and they knew I carried somewhere! - You start to realize that most people just don't notice anything.

Haven't tried the Galco but I've got a DeSantis neoprene model I sometimes use with my J-frame. For some situations it's either ankle carry or NO carry ... guess which one I choose. I'd really like to get an Alessi ankle rig but they're out of my price range for something so specialized.

The Galco's are nice ankle holsters, but I'll stick with my Renagade that I've had since 1994 for my j-frame and it still works as well today as day one.

As far as printing, I havent noticed that kind of problem, but I wear boot cut jeans (Wrangler Cowboy Cuts) and I wear a tube of a sock under the holster and my black dress sock pulled up over the holster.
