Sure Set holster mount for car/home/etc.

Recently, I received a Sure Set Holster Mounts (www.sshmi.com) to try out and I thought I'd post some info. This is a pretty nifty item as it can mount virtually anywhere, at any angle. I chose to put it in the console of my 4runner but it can also go on a bed frame, in a drawer, under a desk, etc. It will accept almost any holster with 1.5" or larger loops. I used a kydex one from Mike Benedict at www.talontactical.com. A Glock 36 was selected since it suited my reliability and size preferences and although the mount comes with a coated steel cable lock, it's just a Glock so if it got stolen, there is a bunch of extruded plastic available to replace it. Installation took me longer to clean out the console than putting it in as I just bolted the mount plate to the bottom with five screws. It's a very solid and highly adaptable mount and if any of the members have a need for something like this, it's worth checking out. Retail is $56 for one or $100 for two. Please forgive the photography but my skills are limited.

    That's actually pretty niffty looking.

I might look into one of these for the Jeep. Thanks.

So it's possible to use a cable lock to secure the gun in the holster? Interesting if that's the case as we're all concerned with securing our weapons from possible theft when left in our vehicles.
