    ??? on J Hooks for IWB's.

Okay, I've been looking for a new, easy on/off IWB rig for my Officer's Model and have had some issues with the C-clips in the past, (i.e. scraping up my belt). Can anyone give me some feedback on these J-hooks?

They look like they would be a little more discreet than the C-clip, but bit more of a PITA. How easy on/off are they?

Give me a heads up on what model holster you have the J hooks on as well. Still looking for feedback on that as well?

    Thanks in advance, gang!

Have you thought about leather loops or do you carry tucked in?

I use a j hook on a kydex holster for a Kahr P9. I like it and it's easy to put on and off but I do need to undo my pants if they're a bit tight, put the holster on and then do it up. Think the Jhook is very discreet but can't say how it'll work for something heavier than the Kahr. Only other option that would come close to convenience of the J hook would be the snap loops.

I tried some but had a problem with the hooks shifting down a tad and unhooking, then when I pulled the pistol the holster came with it.

I have looked at the loops, because they are on some of the best made holsters out there, but they look like they would require 2 hands to put the holster back on. If I'm in the car, that ain't possible with me being a big boy!

On top of that I do like the idea of trying out the "tucked" option in certain situations.

Thanks again, guys. You helped narrow it down a little more for my next holster.

I use J-hooks on my Blade-tec...works great!! No problems getting the holster on/off, drawing, or reholstering.
