    AKJ Concealco IWB Review

I have been using this holster for a week now, and I am kicking my self for not ordering it before now.

My old Galco OWB was nice but the comfort of the AKJ is outstanding. I don't even know my G21 is on my belt. Before I would be aware of my G30 in the OWB, and the G21 was some thing I could not ware all day long.

Fit, and finish are top notch. You would expect to pay twice as much. The base price is $58 with the sweat shield it comes to $62. If you like thumb breaks it will cost $67. An adjustable tensioner can be added for $12.50.

The front belt loop position keeps the holster open with out any metal insert. I can't recall seeing this on any other holster. The back loop can be moved to provide more forward cant. And both loops can be replaced by just removing some screws, and the one way snaps.

I have a mag, and flashlight holsters. They don't get as much ware as gun holster but they are still looking good after a couple years of use. AJ's products last.

The shop is small, and unless the item is ready made, ship time is about 10 weeks. It is well worth the wait time.

Looks good. That front loop placement does seem like a good idea. I wonder if there are any downsides to it.

Also, clicking on your thumbnails results in HUGE pictures.

    I ordered one Friday night....I can't wait.

They make'em for my oddball carry gun (Taurus 415).

So I am really licking my chops.

Years back, when I was searching the web for a holster for my P7M8 I happened on their website and their "5 inch rule" made a lot of sense (having extra leather under the short slided guns to aid in comfort)...I almost bought one of their rigs but I wound up getting one from some Italian ex-cop in wisconsin...who eventually went on to be quite well know in the holster world...

I have a Concealco for my Glcok 26...and I like it. It's ususally quite comfortable...so comfortable that I walked out the front door to take the dogs out without a cover garment (OOOOOPS!...I live in town...).

The only gripe I have is that the bottom of the holster sometimes digs into some uncomfortable places. I'd really like it with the "sciatic flange" that Gary B. and some others put on their holsters.

Mine came from eBay with a mag holster and two sets of belt loops...one is 1-1/2" and the other is 1-1/4". It was (is) in great shape and I think I got a deal on the package.

Since I have to wear slacks / suits at times, I forsee the smaller loops getting some use.

Didn't yours come with the extra leather below the muzzle?

glock21guy. I am glad that you like it and that it sounds like a real quality holster. I ordered 1 just like that on the 7th of Jan. Its been 6 weeks so when I get mine I will do a review also. Congrats on the new holster. Jeff.

Well...I don't know what standard and extra are for AKJ. I've attached a pic... It should be said that I usually only encounter a slight "twinge" when I wear at 4:30 or 5:00.

I wish mine had the sweat shield. Like I wrote before, I like the holster...to me the "gripe" is small...

That would constitute extra leather but with that short a gun, maybe they should have added another inch....my 2 Del Fatti's have the extra leather as you can see in this photo...seems to be enough for this gun...
