Oh WOW Eric! Awesome stuff! Any for sale? If so (and if it's for a 4" barreled 1911) I want it!

Eric, nice looking holsters. Can I ask what the difference is between the two styles. Does the extra leather on the bottom right make the holster ride or feel different?
You should do a "step by step" pictoral! Those are great.
Sport.....
Well the Comfort Tab or whatever the hell you want to call it....really does two very different things...given the length and cant of the holster.
On fullsize Govt models....It helps alot if the bottom of the holster hits the person in just the right or to be more accurate "wrong" spot. If its worn far enough back and has enough cant, then it does help. It actually is designed to help reduce the pressure put on the sciatic nerve by the muzzle of the gun. And it can give the impression of reducing the muzzle thickness considerably in most cases.
On much shorter muzzled guns like the 3" 1911 or say, the H&K P7 it helps bring the bottom of the holster down farther and helps reduce the "top heavy" feeling the shorter muzzled guns get. It can help keep the grip of the gun closer to the body for better concealment and keep it in place better.
The design is basically 1/2 of my original Com that I made in 2000....other makers use similar designs also. Gary's Max Con has been this way for years as well as some of Matt Del Fatti's work and others.
Hope that helps explain it alittle bit.............Shoot well and god bless

Eric, as usual the holsters are great. I really like the look of the 4.25" holster. It looks to ride low and put the grip up out of the way and easy to get to at the same time.
they are works of art =O) keep up the great work....
