    New HBE TL Tuckable....want opinions!

Ok...be honest. I need input and opinions on this one. I built a tuckable just like this in the late 90's and have wanted to bring it back but havent gotten around to it. This is for a Makarov.

Its called the TL or thin line because its bloody thin...thinner than most std. IWB's let alone other tuckables out there.

The clip arm is offset to keep the width to a minimum as is no reinforced mouth. Its made from 5-6 oz steer hide...so its plenty tough but has movement to it also.

My only concern is the location of the clip arm being behind the center of gravity in the holster is gonna cause it to want to fall forward. There isnt a way around that with this design.....oh well.

    Shoot well and god bless

Looks OK. Don't think the center of gravity would be an issue being a deep inside holster. No reinforced mouth is OK by me since the intent is to be thin. Looks like it would fly. Did it fall forward? or have you had a chance to test it out?

Actually it didnt seem to want to fall like I thought it was gonna. Ive got on my shark belt...not as unforgiving as a real gun belt and it did ok...so far. I was afraid Id have to cinch it up alot...but didnt have to.

The center of gravity is the biggest worry for me....but I guess its just part of the trade off......you know? Thanks for the reply.

Looks nice! I use a Tucker Coverup for 3.5" 1911 and Govt. 380. The picture here shows the clip in a straight drop, but I have mine configured very similarly to yours.

I never have a problem with it, even with a full steel 1911 or Para P12. A larger pistol might cause a problem, but smaller ones should be fine.

Making the holster rough-out might help keep it from shifting as well.

I'm assuming that clip is the same one that Nate at UBG holster's using. You've mentioned before that you introduced him to the same clips you're using. If that's the case, the gun shouldn't be going anywhere, unless it's an extremely top-heavy gun.

If the cant isn't adjustable & you'll make the holster at the same cant or greater, it's fine. I would think the only issue would be if you made a straight drop, because you'd want the holster to sit fairly low.

It's kind of like Mark Garrity's tuckable holster, only thinner. Nice.

I appreciate the comments guys...I look forward to the rest of them.
They probably are the same clips that Nates using. Rough out may help a bit with grip.
