Ever use this J frame Holster?

I was curious if any of you ever used this holster:

    http://www.blackhawk.com/product1.asp?P=4208

I normally carry in my pocket but there's nothing more comfortable than a J frame carried OWB! This little holster looks like it would hold it tight to the side and be real light and thin

If you've ever used it, I'd love to hear your opinion!

    God Bless
    Gideon

Gideon...I had one very similar to this and did not like it. The main reason is that the belt goes through the loop in the back of the holster which pushes the gun away from you. I would highly recommend a two or three slot pancake holster. Check out the Bianci Black Widow also. I carry a S&W 637 in it,it holds the gun up high and couldn't be any closer .

Roy Baker, when he was in business made one of the best OWB pancake holsters I have ever used. It held the gun tight and the oval shape of the holster blended the gun into your body.

The belt could either pass on the outside of the holster or between the holster and the pants. it had 3 slots for angle adjustment.

It makes a 3 inch j frame just disappear.

It worked great on a 2 1/2 inch model 19 also.

The last one I saw for sale was on ebay and it sold for over $100 and he hasn't made that holster for over 30 years.

This winter, I've carried my J-frame in a Kramer MSP Paddle, and it's worked out great.

The pouch is from Simply Rugged, called the Most Versatile Ammo Pouch, and holds a speed strip.

I tried one as well and thought it stuck the gun out too far from the waist. I went to a 2 slot pancake holster and like it much better.

I have one and like it... carry with it daily. It does push out, but I am a big guy and can hide it better than most.

I would rather have a good pancake holster that keeps my 642 closer.

Save your money and buy a quality piece. You will be happier in the end.

I would however strongly recommend Mika's pocket holster. I have one for my 642 and really like it.

Thanks guys; good advise and this is the reason why this forum is so helpful, I'll look at some of the pancake designs you mention!

Seems crazy to carry a J frame OWB becasue obviously you can carry more of a weapon but for some situation I' like the total comfort you get with the combination of OWB and the Airweight J frame.

    thanks
    Gideon
