    Thanks QK.

I emailed Milt Sparks to see if their 60TK, made for the Officer's Model, will fit the CM.

for the short term do what i have done for years ( 20 + of them ) pick up almost any 1911 and cut it down , use glue and silicone to seal the cut . Please do get the real holster but you can make do and well .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

    los,
I'm mailing out an In-cognito for one this weekend.
Any holster for a Colt Officers will work, as long as the front is cut low enough to accomodate the rear sight, which is dovetailed near the front edge of the rear slide serrations. I had to slightly modify my In-Cognito design for it. If I recall correctly, I think the current Sparks 60TK is low- cut in front; so you should be fine.

    Hey Mark:
10-43...I spoke with Ahern yesterday and it seems that the new pistols have a slightly wider trigger guard. It makes enough of a difference that he had to cut a new holster off of one. Just thought I'd mention it in case you have an old one.

Thanks RR, Mark and especially Matt for his prompt email reply as well!.

My CM VI was built around 1981-82, so it would have the original slimmer trigger guard.

    Matt,
    Thanks for that tid-bit.
This holster was made for an older version.
Does he me wider from face of the trigger-guard back to the frame, or wider left side to right across the face of the trigger-guard???

    Hey Mark:
My understanding was side to side although I supposed it could have gotten jammed if the depth of the trigger guard has a larger OD. Either way, it's different enough that a fitted holster would be tooooo tight!

I had an MC1 for a number of years ($365 new) but sold it about 6 or 7 years ago. Maybe I'll have to pick up a new one.

Jerry said that Duncan's has the new casting both C&L and hammer down. He had a sample and Dawn (shop manager) measured it and a real pistol for me. Sounds like they're pretty close.

Didn't Jerry do the first article on your holsters too? Circa 1995?

Damn, Matt - you are correct, sir! May '95 Petersens Handguns to be precise. Impressive memory for a grizzled old retired cop who sniffs leather glue!!

Disappointing news yesterday when I was informed by a Sparks employee that the current model 60TK made for the Officers Model will no longer fit a CombatMaster.

Did they offer you any options? If they truly are a custom outfit, they should be able to accommodate you.

I made it clear that I was interested in the 60TK model only. Thinking about going with a DefCon from Gary. Would really like to find a hi-ride model.

But I'll be ordering a MaxCon-V from Gary for sure!
