I know there is a "How do you carry" thread. But I'd be interested in seeing just some of the holsters folks carry there full size and almost full size guns in. I'm talking of the size of 229,226, 1911, PPQ, G17, 92, etc.
Ruger SR1911 CMD all steel commander size 1911. I carried IWB in a MTAC Minotaur for the last year but recently made the switch to OWB in a leather combat cut pancake from The Masters Holsters.

Yeah, I just noticed I missed a belt loop that day, but credit to the holster and belt (5.11 leather with a kydex stiffener), I didn't notice during a long day of yard work on the day I took the picture.
Here is my Springfield 1911 MC in a Hume 715m and my Hi Power in a Combat Armory holster. Note here that the pictures have been cropped to protect my delusional self image as a slim man (easier than exercise and cheaper than liposuction) :image035:

I've haven't carried the BHP in the past because of it being SAO, but it is so much slimmer than modern blocky 9s, and I shoot mine extremely well. I've been researching shoulder holsters that I would feel comfortable using with it. I don't really like the idea of a cocked and locked SAO being aimed at whoever happens to be standing behind me, so vertical is the preference. With all the fantastic holsters out there today, I really don't see the need for carrying a micro gun unless perhaps only very hot days/special circumstances. It's already enough of a challenge to hit something with a full size under duress.
What maker did that top holster sir. I've got one for a commander 1911 that looks like it's sister with no maker mark but some symbol [ I picked it up somewhere in an exchange at the shop years ago ].
Thanks, it still needs to be broken in, damn thing holds the gun far too tight for my tastes. Having just recently gone back to the 1911, I'm wearing another custom but the Nelson is having the plastic wrapped commander placed in it overnight till I'm happy with the draw stroke not being impeded.
Set ups? SET UPS?!? Beyond Mrs. GT, I don't even have a Supervisor. Much less a Commanding Officer. So, respectfully, I'm NOT doing ANY set ups for...ANYbody! :image035:
Once y'all say Hi-Power, my eyes just gloss-over, roll backwards in their sockets & I get a grin on my face. Ahhh,...what were we talkin' about again? :knockedout:
I'll get some pics of my P226 setup when I get home from work. It's my daily carry when I'm not working. It's way too big for a non-permissive environment carry, where concealment is of the utmost importance.
I don't carry my CZ SP01 often because it is a tank but when I do I OC it. Mainly in the woods/out for walks with my dog. Just a BladeTech tension holster. Does the job well and the gun doesn't move out of the holster unless I want it to.
G20 carried IWB in a Raven Concealment modular holster fitted with offset wings for the belt loops. It actually conceals shockingly well for such a large pistol.

For me, it's a Beretta 92 in a Raven with standard OWB belt loops; disappears as well - just have to make sure the shirt drops low enough to cover it. But positioning relative to body and draw are perfect.
-Crown Royal Holster
-Blue Force Gear mag pouch
-Not sure why everything is upside down
