I have one, and it works well for me. Only had one person ask what it was. I said it was for my PDA (personal defense assistant), and stuff.

I use one to holster my car gun. Works great!! Just put my seatbelt through the loop on the back and it hold my gun secure. I have on occasion put it on my belt or used a shoulder strap. No one has ever said a thing.

I use one extensively for backpacking/hiking. It protects the gun and mounts easily to most pack belts. Also handy in the car. I don't use it for around town carry as it is kind of bulky and it's easier for me to just carry IWB. Most of the negative comments I've read on various forums seem to come from people who haven't actually used one. Frequently I read that the Safepacker "screams gun". Unless you are familiar with one, I just don't see how that can be. If I wasn't into guns and aware of them, it would look just like some sort of storage pouch/organizer or whatever. I've never been given a second glance at the many public and sometimes crowded places I carry it.

My bad, it was in a different forum. Doing a search on this one (www.concealedcarryforum.com) will turn up lots of hits.

I've used a Safepacker strapped onto a pack or as a belt holster when backpacking or riding on an ATV in the woods. Because the weapon is totally enclosed by the Safepacker, it is protected from dirt and mud. I've rigged it onto backpack straps as a chest holster which moves the weight from the hips to the shoulders. It straps onto the shoulder strap of a car seat belt the same way.
It's also a way to carry OWB without your pistol showing and scaring the sheep.

There's also an optional fanny pack accessory with belt and water bottle holders for the Safepacker which really makes it unobtrusive.
