Running around in the heat here in FL, it is just more comfortable for that activity, rather than having that leather up against you. But for everyday activities, I prefer the leather IWB carry. All a matter of personal preference. There is no rule carved in stone about what type gun can be carried in what type holster.
So we're all on the same page here...I was kidding with "Glock em down" about Kydex and Glocks.

    OK?

It was an inside joke. Personally, I don't care if you wrap your gun in waxpaper and slip it into your underwear. That's your call.

I just ordered the Maverick Defender from K&D this morning for the P239 that I should be picking up today. I think I'll really like the design of this holster. I like the fact that the cant is adjustable and that the mouth is reinforced. The only thing that I'm not looking forward to is the 10 week wait that I was quoted. However, I was just contacted by Nate of UBG Holsters for payment so my Canute should be on its way some time soon. Looks like my Sig will have 2 great options.

Ordered up a K&D Dakota Defender. Talked with Kevin there and he said really only get the Cochise defender if you want to use it as a OWB also. The Dakota is alittle thinner and easier tuckable...really the dakota to me is a leather CTAC(maybe alittle less adjustable). He said I could even call Comptac and order some V-Clips to use with the defender if i wanted(the clips on the dakota come from comptac). I am going to keep the VM2 on order however and see what they are all about. So got my beltman on the way, Dakota Defender, and a VM2....now just need the 23rd to hurry up so I can take the class and then the 30 day wait begins...should end up with the defender and permit in the same week!

It has a very loyal following and obviously by the price and wait time involved in getting one, it is extremely popular. That said, I have the Cochise defender and I LOVE IT!! It is also a great holster that I love to wear. Build quality and workmanship is excellent and better customer service you will be hard pressed to find anywhere!
Here are some pics of mine.

Rob99VMI04, the rear sight is the Warren Tactical sight and the front is the S&W Tritium sight.
