Holster Burn Out

I have a Milt Sparks VII one KD iwb and one belt holster all of which I am not happy with. My carry gun is a Sig P239 in 9mm.
I also have a Galco professional 100 clip on which is almost ok.
I am left handed and have a 44 inch waist. I am getting pretty disgusted about concealed carry. I am in Florida and would want to carry with a over-sized T shirt untucked. Nothing I have tried so far is really comfortable.
What feels the best is when I tuck my gun in my waist-band cross carry with no holster.
This is the most comfortable and conceals well. Of course this is not practicable unless you don't mind dropping your gun down your pant leg.
Anyone have an idea which holster comes closest to carry in the waist band cross draw?
I cant afford to spend $50 to $100 dollars a pop experimenting.

De Santis Tuck This holster is comfortable, it's an IWB made of strong padded nylon with a reversible belt clip - they are about $40 on eBay, not sure what retail price is.

I've got the TuckThis and it's not bad. Wearing it in the front doesn't work well for my body style but it has done fine for me at the 4o'clock position. As .02 said, you can reverse the belt clip around which is pretty nice, and it comes with 2 styles of clips to try what you like better. I got mine on ebay for about $27 shipped.

You're right, I thought I got mine on eBay but it was a different holster for the same gun, my Tuck This was $26 from MidwayUSA.

I'm sure you could get rid of those holsters you don't like on here pretty easily. Tons of people recently complaining about waiting a long time for a custom holster. good luck...whatever you do stay armed.

Try contacting www.sideguardholsters.com He has a model ( the Minimal Snap IWB ) and it is straight drop, no cant, snaps on to the belt, has a slide guard. Should work for what you are suggesting. If not, perhaps he can make modifications to suit the style you wish. He has reasonable prices and from what I hear, fairly quick delivery times right now.

What's a Milt Sparks VII? I don't remember seeing that on their website. I'm with those that say post them here in the buy, sell, trade section if you don't like them. MS and Kevin both make good stuff but they may just not be what you want. Do you have a local gun shop that sells holsters? Maybe they will let you try some out?

I used to carry my guns just behind my hip, until less than a yr. ago. Then I switched to appendix carry. That worked out great.

Recently, I got a Brommeland Max-Con V with the purchase of a gun. it took me a while & other posters help to come up with a comfortable position. It's amazing how uncomfortable IWB can be if you haven't done it in awhile.

I've notice even an adjustment of a 1/2" one way or the other can make a big difference in the comfort of these.

I'm a big ol' boy too - actually quite a bit bigger than you! I find IWB very uncomfortable, but then again...maybe you gotta wear it for a while just to get used to it. While off duty, I carry a Glock 23 in a Galco "Concealable" OWB holster and use a longer button up shirt for my cover garment, unbuttoned over a T-shirt or tank top. Kinda makes you look like a slob - but who cares...

Maybe it's time for a J Frame with Hip Grips? Very easy to get along with for daily carry.

I have a j fram but I am left handed so clip ons are not an option.

not sure what to tell ya im a lefty and bigger than you and carry IWB 95% of the time try a Max Con V from Gary Brommeland

Try a belly band. Basically an elastic band 6 to 8 inches in width with pockets for firearm and spare magazines. Closes with Velcro. Surprisingly comfortable. Can be positioned as an IWB strong side, IWB cross draw (like you were describing, but more secure than shoving the gun in your waistband), or can be positioned under an armpit shoulder holster style. Very inexpensive. I have purchased several over the years at gun shows for less than $20 each. I could post some links to web sites, but I'm new here and not sure about the forum rules on that. Do a search on "belly band holster" and you'll come up with numerous sources for quality products.
