I need a chest holster (not a shoulder or under-arm holster ...center/upper chest) for carrying a Ruger Super Redhawk in the field. Something we call a 'guide holster' around here. Can anyone point me to a good source of holsters that work well? In Alaska, you can't necessarily find what you need locally and many times have to rely on mail order, so I'm hoping to reduce the trial and error a bit... open to suggestions.
When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,

And go to your God like a soldier.
I saw just what your asking about on Simplyrugged.com
They are in Alaska and dealin a lot of field holsters. I recently ordered one for my S&W model19- 357.
He also has a chest harness that fits most holsters.
I will be interested in what you think. Good luck.

I carry a Redhawk 7.5" and also a 14" TC Contender in an Uncle Mike Bandolier holster. I think they work very well for the price.
You can order them from many different places.
Try www.andrewsleather.com Sam Andrews makes fantastic rigs. If he doesn't have it on his website, give him a call, he's a great guy to talk to and might very well make you happy.
