My carry 90% of the time this summer was my Springfield XD9SC in a Desantis Tuck This (with the clip switched out to a Crossbreed clip).

Conceals well under just a T-Shirt.

Now that fall is coming I will probably switch back to the Crossbreed Supertuck for my everyday carry and start carrying my full sized guns again. The subcompact is just so convenient when it is hot and humid.

Sorry for the poor pic in this one
I have been looking at this holster for a Kahr P45, and am wondering what the nylon is like against the skin in the summer.

I am getting used to being comfortable carrying so I am carrying in very deep concealment because the more concealed I feel -- the more safe -- the more likely I will carry. I am sure I will evolve into a more brave carrier but until then, I feel better with it deeper in spite of the possible lack of the quickest access. Does that make sense?

Sure. I was lucky as I was an LEO when I first started to carry off duty. In 10 years I was never outed so when I left the LEO field I already had the experience.

As long as you practice good habits in regards to discretely checking your cover garment, bending at the knees instead of the waist, etc you should be fine.

Its just my humble opinion but I think it is more important to be able to get that combat grip then any embarrassment you may have of being outed. As long as you are legally carrying what is the big deal?

I buy my leather at a local store near where i live. I can make a hybrid holster for you if you'd like.

Some great-looking rigs out there. Giving me some good ideas for my 1911.
