Does anyone have experience with this belt? Or should I just spend the extra money on the Wilderness Tactical belt?

I don't know anything at all about them. What I can tell you is that The Wilderness Instructor's Belts actually come with a test report from an independent lab that stress tested and certified them for around 6,000lb loads (It varies a little depending which version you get). They are one heck of a belt...
Well... you didn't post picture or a link and I've never heard of them but I do have two 5 stitch Wilderness Instructor's belts and can tell you they are everything they are advertised to be! I really like them!![]()
ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!
"A superior Operator is best defined as someone who uses his superior

superior skills."
Plus, and this isn't a knock on the linked product as I don't know about them, the Wilderness belt while more expensive, is still quite reasonable, and a LOT of belt for the money.

I have both and the Spectre is comparable to the Wilderness IMHO....

The PX here carries them and I own a wilderness. Judging from feeling them through the package they seem to feel as rigid as a wilderness. You can't go wrong with a wilderness, but these might deserve a shot too.

According to the link that you posted, the buckle is rated for well under half the load that a Wilderness buckle is certified for. That won't matter a bit if you're just wearing it as a gunbelt. But, If my (rather large) carcass was hanging off of it, the Wilderness would be my choice.
The Wilderness belts are also 100% American Made - I dunno about the Spectre. For me, buying American products is a very high priority.
I own both. While I'm sure the Specter would work fine as a gun belt, with a 1.75 inch width, it doesn't fit all of my pants.
Well guys, I just decided to get the Wilderness Belt. I found a local store that carried them, that way I could go in and try it on. I have only had it for less than two days, but I am glad I went with this one. Extremely well made.
Thanks for all of your help.
I'm very happy with my Wilderness belts. The 1.75 wide Spectre would not fit all my pants either. Unless the cost difference is huge and your budget is small, I'd go with a proven winner, Wilderness.
I'd think they're worth a shot. I have a few styles of Wilderness belts, but one of my favorite belts I wear is a 1-3/4" homemade belt by a paramedic out in California who I found in a forum. I was mostly interested in seeing how he put it together, but end up choosing it fairly often, especially when carrying a heavier load.
