Does anyone know of any horizontal mag pouches that are available? I would also like to know if you have any experiences with them and what are your thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

Mark Garrity makes them. I haven't tried them yet but all of his work seems to be top notch. http://www.garritysgunleather.com/

I've been using a nylon knife pouch that can be either vertical or horizontal. It works pretty good for me.
I think Safariland is making some but haven't found any lately anywhere.
I know http://pistolgear.com at one time had them available, but last time I was there no joy

The Wilderness carries them for both single stack and double stack mags -

Go to Safarilands site. I've carried a #123 for my 645 for years, in fact I'm on my second one.
The carrier is of some man made material, but looks great. There're no snaps or buttons as velcro's used. It is unobtrusive, secure, and quite quickly accessed.
I know our cops use the double mag pouches in the horizontial position on their duty belts, but didn't realize that people carried them that way for CCW.
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I am looking for a horizontal pouch because I have a rather large midsection and I think that horizontal will work better.
I just got an Uncle Mike's pouch for my 1911 for about $15. I'm guessing that they would have a universal pouch for hi capasity mags
