I'm real happy with the holster and belt I got from Black Hills Leather. I bought the IWB/Belt scabbard. Can be worn IWB or OWB.I've worn both ways successfully. What I liked in particular was the option to change ways of wearing without having to buy two separate pistols. This was my first holster purchase and I'm pretty sure I've saved several hundred dollars in experimental holster purchases.

+1 for KD, their OWB Defender model is a great holster. My experience with Black Hills was disappointing.

I am using a very inexspensive OWB from Don Hume. Very nice for the price. It was like 45.00 from Gunners Alley. I am waiting on a Max Con and a Def Con fron Bommeland Leather.

I've got a black OWB Holster from Fist that I'm very happy with. It took about 7 weeks to get.

I think I would tell him to get an Uncle Mikes or Fobus paddle for now to make sure he really likes paddle carry. If after that test then give KD or someone else a call. I use a paddle with my airweight once in a while but can't do it too long with a heavier gun. I use paddles for range, quik trips and when I'm going somewere that I know I will be removing due to legalities or

I like my Matt Del Fatti LP Model OWB in black.

My 'puter is on the fritz, so I'm having trouble loading PICS from the camera to the 'puter, but I'm not good with 'puters anyway.
