Has anyone used this holster?
Not this one. But I have tried several ankle holsters to no avail. Then reading all the comments trying to get to the weapon quick enough made me give up on the idea. I guess if it were the ankle holster or carry no gun - I would go with the ankle holster. The lighter & smaller the gun the better. jmo
Agreed, ankle carry for your primary is not ideal.
So, anyone have experience with this particular holster?
Not the Ankle Lite, but I do use a Galco Cop Ankle Band several times a week with an SP-101. It's pretty much the same thing. Does take a bit of getting used to. Most comfortable for me is at 4:30 left lower calf wearing 6 in boots and holster/muzzle rests on top of boot. Can be worn with western boots - stuck down inside. Slow draw is the compromise for "maximum" concealment, though ankle holster can be pretty quick draw if sitting.
I actually have the cop ankle band. Its not the best, but it does the job. I now have a new pistol that will not fit my cop ankle band so I am now considering my options and looking at the Ankle Lite holster.
I have the Galco Glove ankle holster for my G27 and really like it - I don't know anything about the "Lite" - sorry
I use the Galco Ankle Lite to carry a HK P2000SK (the glock 26/27 works perfectly when you leave the gun in the holster in a plastic bag for two days.) The holster is comfortable and I like the sheepskin in the inside. The one thing that bothers me a bit is that the holster is made of suede and tends to drag on me pants leg if I wear dress pants. The P2000SK is pushing the envelope for ankle carry IMO so I tend to limit it to times I wear pants with bigger leg openings. The holster is very well made though and I think that you will like any of the Galco ankle holsters.
Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. Your comment about the dress pants was interesting as that is what I'd be wearing.
