    Modded my MTAC!

Was tired of the "tail" on my CT Minotaur for my 40SC so I broke out the blade! Took an exacto type scapel and lopped of the vestigal tail. I'm not going to carry any long barrel guns so it's not needed. First I cut straight across then used the cut tail to make the curved cut. I still don't like how the rear part hangs lower then the barrel and tends to poke out away from the body. I'm sure it'll soften up later. before and after shots!

    Looks good.

I can see myself getting annoyed with that part that stuck down too.

That's great. I'm all for modifying anything that bothers you about your daily carry. Don't suffer with anything that is intolerable.

Feels MUCH better now. I just wish it could be adjusted to ride even lower. The clips are at their highest point and you can see the grip is still way above the belt line. This is best for quick access, but I'd like the option to deeper conceal (i.e. less gun but sticking out if I have to bend over!)

Why not use the cut off leather to make an extension for the clips???

Remember seeing some one's holster set up like that before

I would stay with the quicker access rather than opting for the deeper concealment if that's possible for your lifestyle.
The chances are good that if you ever need it you're going to need it in a real big hurry.
Having it positioned where it's even a little bit harder to get to...is something that should be avoided if possible.

That bottom tab pinches me in the arse constantly. I may try to hack at mine.

I don't even notice the bottom tab on mine. Also, I hope to get a T9 to go with my K9 sometime:). As far as the position of the grip, I've always heard (and agree) that the holster should leave room for a full firing grip so you don't have to adjust after the draw.

I agree. Not trying to sink it below the belt! Look at the line drawn by the first photo though. The grip is WAY above the beltline. I think I could drop it 1/2"-1" and still be able to fully grab the grip.

I'd at least like the option to see if it works. May have to opt for more mods! May have to dig through the trash for that cutoff.
