    Smile I switched back...

I switched back to my OWB holster last night as my primary carry and forgot how dang comfy it is. I carried IWB all summer and have switched back now that things are cooling off here. I love fall!!

Fortunately I can manage my OWB year round but yes, much as I dislike the thought of winter, the carry options increase greatly and make for an easier time.

The hottest spells in summer sure make carry less than easy and totally comfortable at times.

I love OWB. Some of my guns are small enough to be comfortable IWB, but I just can't seem to stick with a small gun.

I started carrying my commander sized 1911 and IWB is just too darned uncomfy. So it's OWB for me and so comfortable.

Hopefully fall will continue to bring more concealable clothing my way.

I carried my SA XD .40 OWB all summer in the galco m7x matrix holster under an untucked t-shirt, very comfortable and unnoticeable galco knows how to make some good holsters.

I cary OWB all year long, I agree with Limatunes, IWB just doesn't work for me. I too am ready for Fall, this has been one of the hotest summers that I can remember, maybe we will have a real cold wimter and we can actually get some snow like we use to years ago!!
It's just easier to choose cover garments in the winter, at least it is for me.

I too enjoy the change. They say it'll be back in the 90's here this week so I'll have to wait just a little longer to break out the OWB holsters!

I think that folks should try to make OWB their first choice for general carry if it's possible.
    Just my personal opinion.

I had to drop 20 lbs to make IWB anything near comfortable. The Comp-Tac MTAC with a M&P 9 has proven to be quite comfortable for a IWB.

IWB for me till it gets cold here. At 85 degrees today, it may be a little while till I OWB carry.

The Galco matrix sounds interesting. I went to some websites and apparently they feel it is a one size fits all. I find that hard to believe.

Can it fit both a 1911 and an XD?

Its not a one size fits all its a molded holster kind of like kydex but its not. when you order one you have to choose your gun type if its a 1911 just scroll down the list until you find the brand you have ( kimber, Colt etc.) and then choose the correct barrel length. here is a link to the galco site http://www.usgalco.com/holsterT3.asp...13&CatalogID=4

yea. now that its getting cold again i would love to switch back to my full size 1911 in my OWB... oh wait. I have neither. So i guess my little mini 1911 is staying in my IWB. I wish I had the money to get the 1911 of my dreams.. but heck.. i wish i had the money for a holster!
Its so fun being a college student.
But thats ok. My Aegis in my IWB is plenty comfortable. Heck yesterday I had it on me for 15 hours straight. 9 of which i was sitting in a car and it was so comfy i didnt even bother taking it off and sticking it someone else in the car.
