Tex - it does not bother me to be honest.

The space available is barely enough to get a finger and there has been nothing else I could think of that would snag it. I am very ''rule 3'' oriented and after so many years have my finger out straight with the draw - it is totally automatic and so no risk there.

I daresay with a rig like this a slightly less generous cut could be made for the top profile upper left and give another 1/4 - 1/2" of cover over trigger area, if it were requested. I had thought of bobbing my hammer but have left it be and never had any snag prob's there either.

I spoke with Kevin tonight, and he said he is making a holster for another guys 3" SP101 so he can make and fit mine at the same time. So this way turnaround will only be like a week instead of 3-4, sweet. I will let yau'll know when I get it and how it is, maybe even some pics if I can figure that out. Thanks

Excellent! I hope and expect that you'll like yours as much as I do mine.

    Chris,
What site do you use to host your pictures? I used yahoo a few times and they only stay up for about a day. Kevin said you were into bikes, I have been looking for a Harley for some time now, don't know much about them, but realy want one. I know I sat on a 883 sporster and it was way to small a bike for my likeings. I was also looking at some Yamaha V-stars, their kinda cool, decent price, just not a harley ya know.

Bruce - pic's? I use my own servers!! I have a coupla servers and several domains so - throw 'em up all the time. Probably use those more for pic storage than anything else really.!!

Maybe you could try photbucket - or one of the others - do a search on ''free image hosting'' - there are several.

After a bike eh?!! Well - I have a rice burner (Honda VTX 1300 C4) which I like a whole lot - pics on this thread - but if you want Harley info ask Tourist or one or two others who I think have hogs. The V-Stars are very nice - in fact - boatload of choices with the Jap' stuff.

Whilst the bikes are not Harley of course - they do IMO represent very good value.

It was a shame to hear of Jims passing. I had a rig he made for me . It fit my S&W m-10 with a 3'' barrell. It's fit and finish was supurb. I also would be intrested in another one like it. Let me know if the k&d holster co. is still making them

paknheat - did I say Hi already? Don't think I did - welcome to CC.

I'd contact Kevin at K&D and see what he can do for you - tho Bruce recently found it hard to contact him via his site (http://www.kdholsters.com/ ). I think that URL is correct.

    This email tho should work

I supplied him with profile drawings and photographs of my original Jim Burke - and he worked from that - I was delighted with what he managed - maybe you could go same route.

Good news, good news I recieved my holster from Kevin today. Very nice holster, needs some breaking in(a little stiff), but very nice, fits great rides just where I wanted it to, and looks awsome too boot. I have tried posting pics before, but haven't hade much luck, so if someone would host them for me I will e-mail them to them. Thumbs up to Kevin, nice work.

Bruce - great! Seems like Kevin got that done pretty darned fast.

Indeed - from new you will find it a bit stiff - but just wear it - and wear it, all the time you can, and you'll find that the ''ears'' thru which belt goes will get used to being bent to rear and it'll ease a bit.

I always somewhat dread the break-in of a new rig but almost always I am pleasantly surprised at how it does in fact mellow. My SIG rig Kevin made is actually still quite stiffr, but has eased where it needs to, so I hardly know it is there.

I will host a pic for you willingly tho - places like ''Photobucket'' should be another choice for you re hosting. You can of course if pic sized down a bit maybe (say 600 - 800 pixels, max direction) - just attach it here or put in gallery.

Although relative to the previous VBulletin version - the section I have on posting (done for THR) is also maybe useful to you for what to do here.

Take a look at Image Matters and find the section on posting in the menu. Let me know if you want me to host for you if problems..... would like to see it!

Here ya go Bruce - I selected this pic as being nicely representative of the rig - good to see it in place. Lovely work that is and of course, as can be seen .... much after the pattern of mine. Like it!!

I tweaked this pic slightly to up the sharpness a bit.

Nice! I've done business with Kevin 3 times already ( unfortunately, I reluctantly sold the beautiful horsehide IWB holster for my CZ-85 Compact cuz I also sold the firearm ). I still have two great OWB holsters....one for each of the CZ's listed in my signature line.

I'm about to order another holster from him for my 3" SP101 also.

I'll share pics when it's done.
