    Seriously...a worthwhile reminder.
A waist located holster is only as good as the belt that goes with it. Buy a good gun belt. Especially for OWB carry.

Not only is the holster going to be form fitted, your belt will be an added tensioner to the firearm. I've been thrown from a horse twice with my gun on. Didn't even budge.

Id say your sheriff hasnt been exposed to a great quality leather holster.
Honestly....I had to do a 3 hour Karate class with my son years ago....had a Sig 220 ST IWB and didnt have a problem with the gun coming out.....wait until you get your Brommeland gun leather and youll understand.

Most leather will do that, and if Kydex is properly tightened, it will do it too.
I wish I could stand on my head for 6 seconds!

Seriously, my VM-II's have never even hinted that my weapon was slightly loose, much less falling out.

LE has retention straps on their holsters not just to keep their gun from falling out of the holster but also for another reason, so it's harder to have their gun taken away!

I'm just jumping on the bandwagon for extra support here...I carry a 1911 iwb with open top (ie strapless) and have never had my gun fall out of the holster. And I have done forward rolls and backflips with it! A quality holster won't allow your firearm to fall out. I suspect most police agencies are just trying to cover their butts in a liability situation (too many blood sucking lawyers around).

I'd venture they are more concerned about a gun grab than gravity.

I have 3 Max Con V holsters and have absolute confidence that the gun will not fall out. The thought never crosses my mind. I feel that a gymnast could do his whole routine and the gun would be secure.
