Looking for a small of back IWB holster
Right now I've been using an OWB belt holster at about 3-4 o'clock position. But this is highly conspicuous, which normally isn't a problem (I open carry rather frequently); however I'd really like a "deep concealment" type holster for my SW99 (Walther P99 clone), and after toying with different positions with my OWB leather holster, have decided that small of back is probably the best area.
As long as my pants stay at the proper height (which they do with a good belt), I experience no discomfort when sitting in hard-back chairs, and in fact feel a bit more comfortable as I find that my SW99 gives me extra lumbar support!
So I humbly ask the folks here on Defensive Carry, what would make a good IWB holster for carry at the 6 o'clock position? A tuckable holster is a near-must, as I tuck my shirt in nearly all the time. Leather is preferable as it acts as a sort of padding so that the metal and plastic of the gun doesn't jab into my spine, but kydex or other materials can be considered. Thanks for any help. :)

I don't think you're going to find a IWB small of back holster. They will most likely be OWB with an extreme forward cant to aid in not only quick presentation but a safe one as well. Below is an example pic of what you're going to expect. Here is a link-->Small of Back Carry article It covers the pros and cons of small of back carry.

Have you consider one of the CompTac holsters? I use their C-TAC which has various positions and various clips.

Go to Related Links above...go to holsters...find Fist, Inc....go to Holsters by Number...see #41...it's a Fist #41 SOB/IWB with a clip. I have at least six of these. Very comfortable, and the 'palm out' SOB works very well. (SOB will generate lots of verbal darts here...be prepared...) OMO...If worn at 5:30...you won't even know it's there! Very comfortable carry.

I wear mine between four and five oclock, Which seems to work decent, I'm on the lookout for a shoulder holster though because as mentioned in the article, there are quite a few drawbacks to anywhere behind the back.
I have to unholster while in the car as it would be impossible to draw from a seated position in a vehicle with any quickness.
It's awkward to sit at some restaurants as wooden chairs weren't designed to accomodate a firearm in the back.
Bending over usually prints in some form or fashion.
I have a Galco IWB for a CZ RAMI that I picked up at the local store, so while not made form SOB it is an IWB so works well for deep concealment. I either tuck my shirt in over top of it in the summer, or wear a vest over top of it in the winter for easier access.
While not perfect it works for now.

Check out this site. My IWB is a good holster. CrossBreed makes a good product and stands behind their product. 6 to 8 weeks. Worth the wait.

I have worn mine in the small of the back and just behind the right hip, both. Depending on the seating situation, it is comfortable both ways.

You might try www.mernickleholsters.com. They have SOB IWBs, and shoulder holsters.
